Meet Brad Bailey
Having grown up in Roanoke, Virginia, Brad is an avid Virginia Tech Hokie fan. He enjoys playing tennis, fishing and tubing on the Potomac River with his family.  He passed the CPA exam on his first sitting and has more than 25 years of experience with business tax planning.

Meet Bill Gregg
Bill spends his spare time doing yard work (reluctantly) and playing with his grandchildren (gladly). Sunday afternoons are on the golf course with a group of equally-challenged duffers. He and his wife spend fall and winter afternoons or evenings traveling to Charlottesville to watch UVA compete in football and basketball.

Catherine H. Brooks, CPA

Cathy brings nearly 20 years of accounting experience to Gregg & Bailey, with the last eight of those years at our firm.  During that time, Cathy has built relationships with a variety of clients but with an emphasis on corporations, partnerships and non-profits.  Additionally, Cathy has built a vast knowledge base related to trust and estate tax returns.  While a complex area, Cathy’s work in fiduciary tax preparation helps individuals during a difficult time in their lives.  Her knowledge helps to lessen the burden for many clients as they move through the tricky and emotional task of estate and trust administration.

Kari A. Forden, Office Manager

Kari’s 15 plus years of experience in the financial industry provide her with an intuitive understanding of customer needs.   Her focus is to deliver exceptional customer service while streamlining office operations to take full advantage of technology. 

As an Assistant Branch Manager for SunTrust Bank, Kari learned the intricacies of federal and state financial regulatory requirements, privacy requisites and security concerns.  She honed her team-building skills to create a friendly and productive working environment where staff is engaged and proficient.  She brings this knowledge along with a passionate personality that touches all around her to Gregg & Bailey.   As Kari oversees the firm’s day-to-day operations, she continuously looks for ways to inject more efficiency into the processes.

Meet Heather Nelson

An avid outdoor type, Heather stays active with her family white water rafting, horseback riding, even skydiving and spending time at the beach.   Having grown up in Midlothian, Heather has deep ties with The Richmond Animal League (RAL), where she volunteers her time to satisfy her passion for animals.   On weekends, she has been spotted doing any number of jobs including walking dogs, cleaning cages, laundry and has even fostered dogs in her home.

Meet Jenn Staib
Jenn was born and raised in Hampton, VA, but now resides in Midlothian. She and her husband are busy juggling their 3 boys’ sports schedules. When she can find free time she loves to read, travel and cheer on her boys as they play football, basketball and baseball. In the fall they travel on weekends wherever the VMI football team goes to support their oldest son, Go Keydets!

Cindy’s sharp eye for detail and her 20 plus years of customer-focused positions make her an ideal choice as an associate at Gregg and Bailey.

Cindy’s nearly 15 years of experience managing back office operations for a multi-unit convenience store honed her bookkeeping skills. Hiring and training staff to ensure an attention to customer service was priority one for Cindy. Her philosophy of trying to avert problems before they arise by instituting proper processes and procedures is in line with Gregg and Bailey’s philosophy of creating long-term relationships built on trust and service delivery. Cindy used these skills as an assistant at a dental practice to make patients feel comfortable – not an easy task. Additionally, she maintained her cheery disposition while also overseeing administrative tasks, including stewarding claims through the insurance process.

Meet Cindy Spencer
This Chesterfield, VA native enjoys heading to the beach as much as possible to get some rest and relaxation and catch up on her reading. An animal lover, Cindy’s dog Sally, a Peekapoo, and cat “Rascal” keep her busy at home. As a self-described “neatnik”, Cindy can always be counted on to keep things organized. Gregg & Bailey’s newest associate, Brandy Frost, brings 15 years’ experience in accounting, management and administration to our firm, along with a wealth of small business expertise. Brandy understands the ins and outs of accounting, from general ledger, account reconciliation and payroll to financial statement preparation. Her first-hand experience working with auditors from the client perspective gives Brandy unique insight and a firm grasp of various financial situations while assisting Gregg & Bailey clients. Brandy is a PATH International Certified Riding Instructor who promotes safe and effective equine-assisted activities for special needs adults and children. Brandy believes that people with disabilities, their families and friends, can achieve an enriched quality of life through the physical and emotional development that happens with therapeutic horseback riding. Brandy also enjoys playing volleyball, running and spending time with her family.
